My faith
Trusting
Faith is not something that simply fell on me. Faith is, quite simply, trust.
Testimony
A trust that takes root
I thought I could trust many people and rely on their promises. We are sometimes promised a kind of happiness, but in the end we often remain empty, disappointed and alone.
My experience has shown me that I can rely on God’s promises. His faithfulness does not change. It does not erase questions or storms, but it gives deep peace and direction.
It is up to us to welcome him with an open heart. Jesus does not force the door: he calls, lifts up and walks with us. That encounter gave new meaning to my life, my identity and even my passion for the ocean.
“God has plans for peace and not for harm.”
Jeremiah 29.11
“Whoever comes to me I will never cast out.”
John 6.37
At the heart of the waves
Faith does not remove the waves; it teaches us to stand
In the ocean, we do not control everything. We read, wait, commit, sometimes fall, then start again. Faith is like that: a living, tested trust that does not deny reality but opens a way through it.
Questions we ask
Moving forward without pretending
Christian faith is not afraid of honest questions. It invites us to seek, listen, examine and take the time we need.
Does believing mean giving up thinking?
No. Trust is not the opposite of reason. It rests on a person, a word, a story, and it can be examined sincerely.
Why is Jesus central?
Because Christian faith does not begin with moral performance, but with an encounter. Jesus reveals a God who is near, who welcomes, lifts up and transforms.
What if I still doubt?
Doubt can become a place of searching rather than a wall. We can ask, read, pray simply, talk with someone and move forward step by step.
Where should I start?
Read a Gospel, ask honest questions, discover Anne-Cécile’s testimony, or talk with trusted Christians.
